Teachers are required to ensure that the Alt Text for images aren’t answering questions and comply with their individual needs.

In no event shall we or our suppliers be liable for any damages (including, without limitation, damages for loss of data or profit, or due to business interruption) arising out of the use or inability to use the materials on this website.

6. Service Provided for
This service works for Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDFs and Google Documents.
7. ADA Regulations
As of April 2024, a new amendment was added to the American Disabilities Act (ADA). This amendment requires all public institutions to be 100% accessible to users by April 2026 and establishes WCAG 2.1 AA as the quality rubric. The amendment includes all areas of the college, as well as both digital and physical materials.
Qualified individuals with disabilities must be afforded the opportunity to acquire the same information, engage in the same interactions, and enjoy the same benefits and services within the same time frame as a person without a disability, with substantially equivalent or alternative ease of use.
This amendment includes, but is not limited to:
- all videos closed captioned at 100% accuracy
- all course materials regardless of copyright or course modality
- all Blackboard courses
- all publisher textbooks and content platforms
- all third-party hardware and software
- all documentation, digitally or physically handed to the public, including pathway information, handbooks,
guides, list of major requirements, registration information, etc… - all forms, all PowerPoints, PDFs, tables, images, charts, graphs, and illustrations
- all syllabi and schedules
- all third-party websites
- all audio closed captioned at 100% accuracy

Accessibility Score Formula
Score = (Total Weight of Passed Rules ÷ Total Weight of Applicable Rules) × 100%
Severity weights:
- Critical = 5
- High = 3
- Medium = 2
- Low = 1
Notes:
- Only applicable rules (marked ✓) are included in the Accessibility Score calculation.
Business Rules
A document may still be classified as Good even if Medium or Low severity issues are present.
A document shall be marked as Good only when no Critical or High severity issues are detected.
A document shall be marked as Needs Attention when one or more Critical or High severity issues are detected.
Medium and Low severity issues shall reduce the Accessibility Score but shall not change the Overall Accessibility Status.
